THE PROJECT
EuMove is a project funded by the Social Innovation Initiative program.
The project aims to support young NEETs (Not in Education, Employment or Training) by involving them in meaningful international mobility experiences. These experiences are designed to boost motivation, develop skills, and promote reintegration into education or the job market.
The project brings together organizations from Italy, Spain, and Portugal to create accessible tools and methods that help even small entities organize high-quality internships abroad.
A key innovation is the use of microcredentials — digital certificates that validate the skills gained during mobility and can be shared with employers and training providers.
30 NEET participants will take part in work-based experiences abroad, supported by specially trained staff.
EuMove promotes mobility as a practical, inclusive solution for youth empowerment and long-term social inclusion.

THE CONTEXT
The EuMove project was created in response to the growing number of NEET youth in Europe — young people who are not in education, employment, or training. This trend poses a serious challenge to social cohesion and economic development.
At the same time, the EU is expanding mobility opportunities through programs like Erasmus+ the European Solidarity Corps, and the new ALMA initiative, which aim to provide learning experiences abroad. However, many organizations are still unprepared to deliver high-quality mobility projects.
EuMove addresses this gap by transferring good practices, developing practical tools, and training staff, making mobility a real and accessible opportunity for even the most vulnerable young people.
THE IDEA AND TARGET
EuMove was created with the idea of using international mobility as an educational tool to help NEET youth regain motivation, acquire skills, and re-enter education or the labor market. The project aims to transfer proven practices and make them accessible to all organizations working with NEETs, including those with no prior experience in mobility. It develops digital tools, practical methodologies, and training courses for youth workers and educators. The main target group is young people aged 18 to 29 who are in vulnerable situations and excluded from personal and professional growth opportunities. At the same time, EuMove supports the professionals and organizations that work with them, equipping them with the skills and resources needed to deliver effective and inclusive international learning experiences.
